Bringing Breast Cancer Awareness to Local Communities
This October, Dance for the Cure continues its Pink Bow Project, an annual effort to raise awareness for breast cancer by placing pink bows on the doors of local businesses. This year, the project has expanded to include Flemington, Hillsborough, Martinsville, and Raritan, with volunteers placing bows throughout these communities.
The pink bows are simple, yet meaningful symbols of support for individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. This year, Dance for the Cure volunteers created and delivered over 450 bows! By seeing these bows around town, we hope to remind people of the importance of community and the shared commitment to helping those in need. Through the Pink Bow Project, Dance for the Cure aims to keep the conversation about breast cancer awareness active, while also supporting local patients through our financial assistance program.
If you're out and about in any of these towns this October, keep an eye out for the pink bows—they represent the collective effort of local volunteers and the spirit of care for our neighbors facing breast cancer. If you'd like to participate in next year's Pink Bow Project, please contact Kathleen Cirioli, DFC co-founder and leader of the Pink Bow Project.
