Passionately Pink Club Makes Generous Donation to DFC

The Passionately Pink for Breast Cancer Club at South Plainfield High School once again demonstrated their dedication to supporting local breast cancer patients through their fundraising efforts this past fall. Under the leadership of their advisor, Ms. Kathleen Benton, the club organized a series of creative initiatives during September and October, culminating in a generous donation of $1,436 to Dance for the Cure.

The students worked diligently to engage their school and local community in raising funds. Their activities not only generated substantial contributions but also spread awareness about the financial challenges many breast cancer patients face.

Their fundraising initiative consisted of four activities, including:

  • Friday Homeroom Collections, where students gathered contributions from school staff on a weekly basis throughout September and October.

  • Pumpkin Painting, offering families a fun seasonal activity.

  • Apparel Sale, which not only served as a fundraising tool but also helped spread the club’s message throughout the community.

  • Jean Days, held on 2 occasions to the delight of the students and staff!

Thank you to the Passionately Pink Club for your hard work, creativity, and continued commitment to making a difference. Your contributions are truly appreciated.
