Dance for the Cure had a great time at Hillsborough’s National Night Out on September 10th! The weather was perfect, and our bright pink tent really stood out in the crowd.
A huge shout-out to co-founder Joanne Liscovitz and her husband Michael, along with Danielle Hughes, for handling the setup. DFC volunteer Terry Oxford kept the kiddies entertained with the popular lollipop pull game and a fun book giveaway, while Marcia Moore and Anne Moore worked hard throughout the night. We were also happy to see Lory and Mike Hughes, plus Carole and Sal Longo, who stopped by to lend their support.
We gave away dozens of bags filled with breast cancer awareness brochures and kiddie toys and had lots of great conversations about what Dance for the Cure is all about—helping local breast cancer patients who need financial support. Since we’re 100% volunteer-run, all the money we raise goes directly to helping those in need.
Overall, it was an awesome night connecting with the community, and we’re so glad we got to be a part of it!
