This June, the local community will come together for the Paddle for Pink, a dragon boat festival at Mercer County Park—an annual gathering hosted by the Machestic Dragons. The event, dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer and supporting local organizations, will be held on Saturday, June 15, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This year, Dance for the Cure (DFC) has the opportunity to join the Breast Cancer “Village” thanks to an invitation from Susan Wieszczek and Judy ViaCava of the Machestic Dragons. We’re excited to meet with other groups and the public to share what DFC does and how we support those affected by breast cancer.
Paddle for Pink started in 2007 and has since been a key event for bringing people together to support a common cause. It’s not just about the race; it’s about making a difference in the lives of those dealing with breast cancer.
We’re looking for volunteers to help represent DFC at our tent. It’s a chance to connect with the community, share our mission, and show support for those impacted by breast cancer. If you’re interested in helping out, please reach out to Kathleen at 908-420-1999.
The event promises a day filled with activities, camaraderie, and support. Whether you’re racing, volunteering at our tent, or just coming to show your support, your presence makes a difference. It’s about more than just raising awareness; it’s about supporting each other and making a tangible impact.
